Seths photo shoot

Seth watched me take the pictures of Clark and decided he deserved a turn.
When he realized he had to smile he decided he was done with the photo shoot. So I bribed him with a penny and started tickling him
In Seth's defense he is sick with pneumonia and smiling is not on his list of things he feels like doing. However even when he is not sick he seldom smiles for pictures unless I bribe him with something.

Michael and I joke that we only provided two molds for the kids to come out looking like, so I put up some pictures for comparison.

Well they are both adorable.
I wish I could go back in time and snuggle baby Hyrum.

A Few of my Favorite Things

Seth and Clark have been sick the last few days. After I did my online research I came up with the conclusion that they either have a cold or RSV. Or neither since the Internet isn't the most reliable place to get information. I'm suppose to take Clark into the doctor if he stops eating or starts losing weight. He has done neither (He actually might have gained a little weight) so I haven't worried too much about it. What that means for the rest of the family is a lot of stir crazy boys who are sick of being inside. Of course they reached that point long ago after it started snowing and I stopped going outside. In my defense snow lost it's appeal ages ago and I am pretty close to hating it. I blame the snow for our 8 month incarceration inside.  I assume I will miss it when we move but as for now I could do with a little global warming.

Most days I have a little routine that I follow. It goes along the lines of
Wake up
get the boys breakfast
feed Clark
Have MD read his school book to me
Take MD to school
Come home
Home school Hyrum
clean the kitchen
Make lunch
Pick up MD from School
Boys eat lunch and I finish cleaning the downstairs and start making dinner
MD reads his book to Hyrum or himself and does his homework
Bedroom time for the boys while I take an hour to myself reading
finish up dinner
dad comes home
eat dinner
relax
go to sleep
start over

Obviously there are some things that change from day to day but that list is still pretty much it.
Some days I get creative and come up with projects. Like today we made a "volcano" and watched it explode. and then watched it explode again.
I also pulled out my camera today to take some pictures of Clark for my mom. That turned into the boys and I taking about 200 pictures of every little thing they could think of.
So here is a little glimpse of the last hour of my life :)
These were the best pictures I could get of his red hair. Mom this is for you!
When Hyrum realized I was taking pictures he started putting on a show!
 They also started posing
Seth, who is constantly yelling "Hold Me!" watched the boys from my lap
But it looked like fun so he decided to participate
Which led to this. He looks like this about 50% of the time. No tears-he is just mad.
He ended up back on my lap. So we took a picture.
Which led to Hyrum asking to take a picture with me
But then Hyrum decided he would rather take a picture making funny faces with Clark.
The boys then asked if they could take some pictures
MD captured this gem
I was talking to Seth when I heard Hyrum call out "Mommy smile!"  I looked up and this was caught
 which led to this
not bad for a 4 year old.
Hyrum asked me to take a picture of his weapon masterpiece. According to him you "throw the shield and the sword comes out and pokes you in your stomach and your tummy." I don't know what the gun is for but it looks cool.
And this was taken when the boys weren't looking. These boys are best buds. Everyday Hyrum asks me if he can go pick up MD from school. There he waits by the school until he sees MD come out and then the two boys run to each other and hug before running to the van.

Sweet Child of Mine

4 months has become one of my absolute favorite age milestones with this chubby redhead. Clark is SO happy and so hands on. He has started grabbing everything that comes in front of his face and yanks it towards his mouth which means my chin is usually covered in spit. Sweet baby of mine has most of the Huish family, myself included, wrapped around his chubby finger. It doesn't hurt that this baby is 90% blubber-19 pounds of baby chubs for me to snuggle.

My favorite thing about this picture is Clarks death grip on my face as he reels me in.

Baking Cookies

My boys love to help me out in the kitchen. Usually I have three boys zooming around me while I cook so I put them to work stirring and gathering ingredients, but on this particular day I decided to let them get a taste of what they are always begging me to do. Our sweet neighbors dropped off a box of cookie mix over the Christmas holidays that the boys were more than excited about baking up. The boys got even MORE hyper when they realized I was letting them make it all by themselves. They pulled on their aprons washed their hands and started getting out the ingredients.
I really enjoyed watching the boys roll up the dough and then mash it onto the cookie sheet after I tried to explain the "right" way to roll out cookies.
Delicious cookie cake that the boys happily decided that they would not share with their daddy. After their daddy realized just how well they made it he was all to happy to let them eat it themselves (Lets just say that after they washed their hands the first time they proceeded to lick, pick and snack on whatever piece of dough and cookie they could get their hands on.)
Don't they look like they need to be the poster boys for cookie mix?
And it took only 3 hours for them to eat through that plate

27 years young

Turning 27 feels a lot like turning 25-which incidentally is about how old I feel.

Hyrum was adamant that I get a cake for my birthday. He started bugging his Grandma on Friday when we showed up and kept at it until I got a cake on Sunday. It looked delicious and those who ate it said it was! Even though I can't eat cake it was definitely the thought that counted. Thanks for the wonderful Birthday gift Mamaw and Hyrum!
The cake was hot from the oven so I stuck the candles into a scoop of ice-cream (Hyrum was also determined that I have candles :)
The boys loved the cake -MD was very serious about eating it.
Clark has a habit of watching others eat.
Taking a picture with the sweetheart who planned the party
What happens when the party is over. Poor Seth couldn't handle it and passed out on the couch.

Rice Cereal-Not a Fan

This chubby red head is hilarious
He is also a little too trusting :)
But one smile from mommy convinced him that it was all alright!
Unfortunately a few minutes later we realized that the rice cereal upset his stomach. I was able to get him to smile after I put him in his sling though. He really is a sweet heart.
And this kid asked to sit on the potty twice today! Yeehaw!
He has that bored teenager look already.
